What PANT Does for Pets & People
The Pet Assistance Network of Topeka partners with local organizations, currently the Topeka Rescue Mission and Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging. When our partners have clients with pets they turn to us for help. PANT provides temporary boarding for the pets when their owners are not able to keep them. For instance, we board pets for clients at the Topeka Rescue Mission until the owners can get back on their feet and into a home. For JAAA clients, this might mean that their pets need boarded while they are hospitalized or in rehab. A bump in the road of life shouldn't mean surrendering your pet -- a cherished and beloved family member. We also provide spay/neuter, vaccinations, and other veterinary care to the pets while they are in our care. We give clients one less thing to worry about while they are working on personal matters. Our favorite part is when the pets are reunited with their owners. That's why we exist.
